Production, Distribution, and Exhibition
I could make a love story plot twist. They go on a date, girl falls in love with boy, boy turns psycho. Girl does not know this and she puts herself in a very bad situation. Girl is fearful when she finds out what boy is up to. This plot will put the audience on the edge of their seats. Fear, suspense, tension, love, and loss.

For the production aspect of my film, there will be several factors that will affect the final outcome. I am a high school student so I, unfortunately, do not have much money pocketed right now. My goal would be to create a film with small-scale production. It would be small-scale because it would be local production. Perhaps, at a local cafe. We would also have a very low budget. My film would be independent. It will not be financed by a big studio. For my characters in the film, I could have friends and family portray the characters. I would need a boy and a girl to play the main characters. I will also have a narrator in the background telling the story from a neutral point of view.
The distribution of my film will be affected due to it being a small-scale, independent film that I will be releasing. With my film being small-scale production, I will be distributing my short film onto YouTube. I will see how the audience reacts to this limited release. This would be considered a platform release. If it does well on YouTube, I can release teaser trailers to social media sites like Tik Tok, Twitter, and more to promote it! Like I said previously if the film does well on YouTube, I might benefit and make some money. YouTube could make some money as well. YouTube is a very hard video-sharing service to make a profit off. If the film receives positive word of mouth, I can share the film with small film festivals hoping to gradually expand and gain more momentum.
Due to the choice of my film being a small-scale production film, it will affect the way some people may view it. Audiences may view my short film from a search on YouTube. It can be promoted through word of mouth and possibly different marketing campaigns. If I decide to share my film with small film festivals, people may also view it from there. If we get enough views, we could do some merchandising tactics. This will help us gain more viewers and make a profit as well. We will not be releasing our film into theaters so they will not have a chance to make any money from box office sales. Few ancillary revenue sources will be making money off of our film. This short film will not be released for DVD or any home video service. However, small, local shops could make revenue if we decide to go with a merchandising approach.
